A Living Legend

Last night Melissa and I had the honor of seeing
B.B. King perform at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
At 81 years, this man knows how to have fun. The concert was not at all like a rehearsed set, it was more like gathering around his back porch and hearing B.B. King intersperse stories with his greatest songs. Several times he would stop in the middle of a song to talk.
He's clearly not doing these tours for the money. He's doing it because it's in his blood. It's who he is. What he does.
I don't know if the Blues define B.B. King or B.B King defines the Blues. Either way it was a great concert and a chance to hear the
greatest living guitarist first hand. Performing seated in a chair, and backed by a hoppin' band, B.B. still moved around like he had no choice. The music makes him move. It's in his veins.
I hope I get the chance to hear him again, and next time, I'm bringing the kids.

Now THAT's a Geocache!
Certainly the largest geocache container I've ever seen - and will probably ever see. We "found"
this one at
GeoWoodstock 5 when there was a steady stream of geocachers into and out of these woods.
This is a rather large storage box that had a combination lock on it. I don't know how they carried the container and all that stuff into the woods.
The people pictures were some other geocachers from out-of-state that we met at the cache, but I now forget their names.

Gap-Toothed Smile
Last night, Delaney lost her first tooth. She was so excited that she didn't want to put it under her pillow. Today she took it to school to show friends and tonight it awaits a visit from the Tooth Fairy.
