GeoWoodstock 5!

I spent Friday night and all day Saturday at
GeoWoodstock 5. This is a large yearly gathering of geocachers and this year it happened to be in Raleigh at the Fairgrounds. Over 1600 geocachers were expected.
It was surprising to look at the out-of-state license plates in the parking area, the rows of RVs, the tents, the kayaks. We saw cars decked out with multiple GPS'es, laptop dashboard mounts, "GeoWoodstock or BUST!" windows, and lots of geocaching dogs.
The event was great, we met lots of geocachers from all over the US. There were also cachers from Canada, Central America, Sweden, Germany, and the UK. We saw a screening of the award-winning
Adventures in Geocaching documentary, witnessed the
Original Can of Beans (first geocaching trade item place in the original geocache or "the most photographed can of beans in the history of mankind").
Amid the festivities, we found 41 caches! Our previous record was 23. And, of course, we ran into lots of cachers around town, some more than once.

Hot Doughnuts Now
Yes, the lettering on the
Hot Doughnuts Now sign
is backwards.
That means we're on the *inside*.
We were at Pullen Park for Delaney and Tori's end of year school program and we were just too close not to stop in.

Old Quarry
Tori and I went geocaching at Falls Lake Sunday afternoon and she found this Syndrome and Omnidroid in the cache. I think the best part to her was getting to use her hiking stick while walking on the trails through the woods and collecting leaves that interested her.
The cache was
Old Quarry (GCPF3J) and it was at a cool rock wall that used to be part of a rock quarry. It's a great one for kids as it was only a little more than a half mile roundtrip from parking.

The PEZ Museum
I finally made it.
My pilgrimage to the
PEZ Museum in Burlingame, California.
This place claims to have one of every PEZ dispenser ever made! Now, I've got over 400 dispensers (I think), but I stay away from the rare ones costing hundreds or thousands of dollars. He's got them all, including the tallest PEZ dispenser which he commissioned an artist to create.
Check out the
pictures (with captions).
