Honda's Rube Goldberg Commercial

This commercial is amazing. I'll admit it is one of those viral videos that gets passed around, but Rube Goldberg machines are cool!

This is a 2 minute Honda Accord commercial that was made for the UK. It cost a few million to produce but I'm sure it will get more playtime on the Internet than on British TV.

No computer animation here. These are actual Honda Accord parts. It took 606 takes to get it all to work.

It's all over the net, but I'll link to it in YouTube.

TiVo To Go

Now the new troop transport is complete!

When you buy a Honda Odyssey minivan, you tend to blend in with the crowd. In almost 20 years of vehicle ownership, I've never put a sticker on any of them. But when you walk out of preschool to a parking lot full of SUVs and minivans, and most of the minivans are Odysseys, it's nice for your vehicle to stand out somehow.

Sure, we could get one of the other Euro oval stickers you see around here - 'OBX' for Outer Banks, 'HWF' for Heritage Wake Forest - but we needed something better -- something worthy of being the first sticker to adorn our vehicle.

A custom printed 'TiVo' sticker!

Nice. I recommend one for everyone.

Disney World 2006

Seven days, several hundred miles, four geocaches, three toll booths, two trips to urgent care, and we're back!

We saw Disney World (again) and survived.

Jasmine was Delaney's favorite princess of the week and she managed to get several photo ops, two dolls, a shirt, and an autograph. Tori loved the teacups most.

More pics here.

You Are 'GO' for Launch!

We just got back from a trip to Florida where we visited Kennedy Space Center.

Here are a few pictures.

I hope this astronaut's suit was really protecting him/her from the heat.

We made it. Here's the carrousel, the girl's first ride.

Yogi's Georgia Retreat

My first out of state find!

On the way to Disney World and my Treo is loaded with cache info along I-95. This one was at the Welcome Center in Georgia.

Too bad you couldn't share in this one Dave.

Prime Time Geocaching

Our local newshound Dave alerted me that there was a story on tonight's CBS Evening News about geocaching. You can read it or view it online at CBS's site.

It's really good to see this fun sport get positive press. Dave and I went caching on Sunday and went 8 for 11. That brings my total to 50!! (Pictures of previous hunts here.)

We also found a "seed cache" where the contents of the cache container was other cache containers. To get credit for this one, we have to hide our container and get it published. This will be our first hide and we're already brainstorming for ideas.

Just to put our amateur status in perspective, we met an older couple out caching that day and casually asked how many finds they had.

1036.

We're just getting started.

I'm also looking forward to picking up a few out-of-state finds on my upcoming vacation.

Spontaneous Combustion

The pressure was just too much for Fred. He tried to keep his anger and frustration bottled up inside. Finally one day, he simply burst into flames, leaving behind these footprints as a reminder that we should all just relax a bit.
