First Geocache Hide!

The reviews are in. Critics say:
"Cleverly done!"
"...very well executed..."
"...very clever hide"
"Lots of fun."
"Clever container..."
"...splendid..."
Of course, they're all talking about the
DG History Micro, our first
geocache hide. Follow the link for cache details and log entries.
After constructing the container, averaging several GPS readings, and verifying with Google Earth, we snuck over one Saturday evening and planted the cache. The location's shown in the satellite photo above. This one's near a bus stop in RTP that's pretty deserted on the weekends. It's actually right across the street from where I work.
After getting the physical cache in place, we wrote up the description and submitted it for review. A couple of days later the cache was published for others to find. The cache was published at 9:08pm. At 9:30pm, the first person found it!
Dave even drove out to the site that night to see people come look for it. He got there just as the first geocacher was leaving. It's been found eleven times so far and it seems like everyone has been happy. It's been neat putting a cache out their for others to find, but also rewarding to make it a memorable one.
