Google Homepage adds RSS; Yahoo! Konfabulator

Time for me to eat
my own words.
The
personalized Google homepage now allows you to add RSS feeds and bookmarks. A couple of months ago, I mentioned that I would change my home page if they added RSS.
Google, you win.
But I'm also going to try out the much-talked-about and previously Mac-only
Konfabulator (now being referred to as "Yahoo! Widgets"). Yahoo just bought this and its now available for Windows as well. There are
hundreds of widgets that you can load on your desktop to do just about anything you can think of.
Sure, you can display RSS, weather, stocks, email, a clock. But you can also do things like control your TiVo (well, an HMO-enabled one).

Might want to keep your napkin tucked in as you eat those words since Konfabulator has been cross-platform (Windows/Mac) for some time now.
I stand corrected. Konfabulator was initially for Mac but has been available for Windows. Yahoo made it free and will also increase the visibility and the already large library of widgets.
