Sometimes doing the simplest things can be difficult. Sometimes I need a screen capture to paste in a document or something. Windows has very limited built-in support for this using the 'Print Screen' key. But try ScreenHunter. There's a free version that lets you pick your own hotkey and capture the entire screen, active window, or user-selected rectangular area. You can then save to a file or copy to the clipboard.
